Emerson Cohen is a junior at Rock Bridge High School and the newly crowned Miss Columbia’s Teen. She’s also vice president of an inclusive student club called Bruins United and works with Best Buddies, focusing on creating more opportunities for people with disabilities to build friendships and feel like they belong.
Emerson joins us to talk about what disability inclusion looks like in a high school, and why sometimes the most important thing you can give someone is simply the opportunity to be a friend.
