Jamal Roberts rushed for a career-high 222 yards and two touchdowns, Blake Craig connected on a pair of 50-plus-yard field goals, and No. 14 Missouri delivered a dominant defensive performance in a 27-6 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in Southeastern Conference play, snapping a three-game losing streak against the Aggies. Missouri’s defense limited Texas A&M to 216 total yards, 10 first downs and no offensive touchdowns, holding the Aggies to just 74 yards through the first three quarters.

Roberts took control late in the game, scoring on a 2-yard run on the final play of the third quarter to cap a 12-play drive that consumed nearly seven minutes. He then broke loose for a 54-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to put the game away, recording his second consecutive 200-yard rushing performance. Missouri also got a boost from Cayden Lee, who caught seven passes for 94 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Austin Simmons in the second quarter. Craig added field goals of 50 and 51 yards, bringing his career total to 11 from at least 50 yards, two shy of the school record held by Harrison Mevis.

Missouri’s defense set the tone throughout the afternoon. Safety Trajen Greco intercepted a pass ahead of Craig’s first field goal and helped prevent an Aggies touchdown with a key pass breakup in the end zone that led to an interception by Elijah Dotson in the first quarter. Linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez recorded 13 tackles, including eight solo stops, and extended his streak to five consecutive games with double-digit tackles. Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed threw two interceptions, while the Aggies managed only a 53-yard field goal in the first quarter and a 27-yard kick in the fourth.

Missouri, now ranked 13th in the Top 25 poll, heads to Oxford, Mississippi, for a matchup with Ole Miss on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2:30 p.m. The game will air on the SEC Network.
