No. 25 Missouri bounced back from its first loss of the season in emphatic fashion, rolling past No. 8 Florida 45-17 Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers scored 35 straight points after the game was tied at 10, turning a close matchup into the largest margin of victory in program history against a top-10 opponent. Missouri improved to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in SEC play.

Austin Simmons delivered the best game of his career, completing 23 of 30 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns. Jamal Roberts was held in check for most of the afternoon before breaking loose for runs of 77 and 80 yards in the fourth quarter, finishing with 211 yards and three scores on 24 carries. Cayden Lee caught eight passes for 110 yards, while Donovan Olugbode had 94 receiving yards and a touchdown for his fifth straight game with a score.

Missouri’s defense kept Florida from getting anything going, limiting the Gators to 325 total yards and holding leading rusher Jadan Baugh to just 13 yards on 12 carries. The Tigers recorded 11 tackles for loss and three sacks, while Florida managed only 19 total yards in the third quarter. Missouri now turns its attention to another home game next Saturday against Texas A&M.
