Missouri has more than 240 miles of the Katy Trail, the growing Rock Island Trail, and an expanding network of trails connecting communities across the state. What if those trails are more than places to hike, bike, or enjoy the outdoors?
A new documentary called “The Trail State” makes the case that Missouri’s trails are also driving tourism, supporting small businesses and helping communities grow. The film premiered in St. Louis last week, and joining Show Me Today are director Chris Ryan and Dan Burkhardt, executive producer and co-founder of Magnificent Missouri.
