President Joe Biden is now out of the race for president. The incumbent has announced that he will instead focus all of his energies on his duties as president for the remainder of the term. St. Louis Congresswoman Cori Bush reacted to the news supporting his decision.
“It has to be your mission. It has to be the time. You have to be willing to do all that its going to take to be able to carry not only run but carry out the job for the full term,” she said on Sunday. “He (Biden) knows himself better. He knows the situation better. He also knows Donald Trump better. No, I’m not disappointed, not when someone makes their own decision. This was his decision.”
Biden and Bush have both endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the next commander in chief.

“As for him endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris, absolutely, that was the choice. I unequivocally endorse Kamala Harris for president,” she said. “You know, her being our Democratic nominee, you know, she is able to pick up the torch and go. And so, we would be right there with her.”
Bush said that the “number one goal needs to be to defeat (Donald) Trump in November.”
Meanwhile, several top Republicans are quick to call for Biden’s resignation, including Springfield area Congressman Eric Burlison who said that Biden “is not fit to be president.”
