Here is a summary of the first quarter as Toledo takes on Mizzou at Faurot Field

Mizzou receives the opening kickoff and starts the first drive of the day at their own 27…The Tigers drive reaches the Toledo 17 yard line then stalls and Andrew Baggett connects on a 35 yard field goal to give Mizzou a 3-0 lead with 12:35 left in the quarter.  Franklin 4/6 for 55 yards on the drive including 3 completions to L”Damian Washington for 51 yards.

Toledo begins their first possession of the game at their own 25 yard line…The Rockets go 69 yards in 10 plays and tie the game on a 24 yard field goal by Jeremiah Detmer with 8:51 left in the quarter.

The Tigers next drive begins at their own 25 yard line…Mizzou then executes an 8 play 75 yard drive that is capped by a 1 yard touchdown run by Henry Josey to give Mizzou a 10-3 lead with 5:58 left in the 1st quarter.   The big play in the drive comes when James Franklin hits Levi Copelin with a 51 yard pass to the Toledo 7 yard line.

The Rockets then start a drive at their own 25 yard line…Toledo would gain one first down but then they are forced to punt with 3:58 left in the quarter.

Following the Toledo punt Mizzou takes over at their own 27 yard line…Franklin is sacked twice and the Tigers punt after a three and out series.

Toledo takes over at their own 48 yard line…The Mizzou defense then steps stops the Rockets without a first down and after a punt the Tigers get the ball back with 1:09 left in the quarter.

The Tigers drive begins at their own 10 yard line and takes it to the end of the quarter.
