Two House democrats lose Right to Life backing

September 20, 2012 By Missourinet Contributor

Missouri Right to Life has pulled its support from two House campaigns following votes cast in the veto session.

The pro-life group has withdrawn endorsements of Rep. Linda Black (D-Bonne Terre) and Rep. Steve Hodges (D-New Madrid County).

Right to Life says Black and Hodges verbally committed to vote to override the Governor’s veto of contraception legislation, but then voted to sustain it.

Seven other House democrats voted to overturn the veto, which passed both chambers.
