The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats, who finished the season 9-1 are the number two seed in the Southwest Region and have a bye week. They will play the winner of the West Texas A & M/Washburn matchup at home on Saturday November 24th.
Missouri Western, who came into the last week of season ranked 4th in the Southwest Region lost to Truman State 37-28 dropping them out of the playoff picture. The Griffons did accept to play in the Mineral Water Bowl on December 1st in Excelsior Springs against Wayne State College from Nebraska.
