The St. Louis Blues up their record to 6-3 on the young National Hockey League season as they edge the Washington Capitals 4-3 Saturday night at Scottrade Center.

Brad Boyes scored twice for St. Louis, his 7 th and 8 th of he season, with his opening salvo coming just :45 into the game.
