Royals Shut Out Tigers 5-0

The Royals scored five runs in the first inning and four pitchers combined on a seven hit shut out, as the Royals win 5-0 over Detroit.  Zach Greineke making his second start since being inserted back in the rotation pitched the first four innings as they ease him back into the starting role.  He was scheduled to only throw 60 pitches, but got up to 71.  David Riske came on for the final 2 1/3 innings to pick up his 4 th save.  The Tigers again had chances but end of leaving runs on the bases stranding 15 runners.  Royals 2 nd baseman Mark Grudzielanek 3 for 4, now hitting .312 for the year.  SS Tony Pena Jr with 2 RBIs.
