Student Construction Worker Struck and Killed by Passing Vehicle

A college student working on the Highway 40 construction project in St.Louis County has been hit and killed by a passing motorists. Friends say 22-year-old Gavin Donohue had counseled teenagers about the dangers of drinking.

Police say the driver of the car that hit him was drunk. Manslaughter and a felony drunk driving charges have been filed against Ryan Seeler of St. Peters.

Donohue was a student at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
