Woods Questionable To Play In Independence Bowl

December 28, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

University of Missouri running back Marcus Woods has been listed as questionable for the Independence Bowl on Friday. He continues to struggle with a groin injury, which cost him one game this season. He didn’t practice last week or this week.

Woods has started nine of the ten games he’s played this season and is second on the team in rushing with 435 yards—quarterback Brad Smith leads the team with 1,151 yards. Woods averages 43.5 yards per game, 4.7 yards per carry and has scored three touchdowns.

Fellow sophomore Tony Temple will start at running back against South Carolina.
