Eminent Domain Task Force Completing Preliminary Work

September 29, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

The Governor’s Task Force on Eminent Domain is about to complete the first phase – sending an interim report to Governor Matt Blunt. Terry Jarrett, the Chairman of the panel, says so many different views have been heard that more input will likely be needed before a final report is due by year’s end. Jarrett hopes to have the interim report sent to the Governor by the end of business Friday. The Task Force was set up in response to anger over a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in a Connecticut case involving an eminent domain land seizure.
