Cards Sign Eight To Minor League Deals, Owners and Players To Announce New Steroid Policy

The Cardinals signed eight players to minor league contracts including former Royals Wilton Guerrero and Brandon Berger. They also signed former Pirates infielder Abraham Nunez. He hit .236 in 182 at bats and was fourth in the National League with 62 pinch hit at bats…..Baseball players and owners have reached a new steroid testing policy and will announce it today. The major change is an automatic 10-day suspension for testing positive for the first time. Previously, a first time positive resulted only in treatment.
