The State Health Department wants to require all children to have chickenpox vaccinations before they enter kindergarten. The Department is going through the rule-making procedure now. The new rule will begin with children starting kindergarten in the fall of 2005. Missouri requires chickenpox vaccinations for children in day care, but not for children entering school.
