Two of the fattest cities in the land are in Missouri. Men’s Fitness magazine ranks St.Louis number nine. Kansas City is 17th. Things could be worse – Texas has five of the top 17 fat cities, including Houston, which tops the list. The magazine uses 14 criteria to make its choices – including number of fast food and ice cream and doughnut shops per capita, number of health clubs and sporting goods stores, air quality, climate, availability of health care, and television viewing habits. It also lists the 25 fittest cities in the country. Missouri has no cities on that list.
