The Kansas City Zoo is laying off workers because of financial problems. That’s about ten percent of the work force. Seven of those positions already are vacant. Twelve people will lose their jobs. New director Randy Wisthoff says the zoo has lost about $2.5-Million in the last couple of years and has used up most of its credit.
