It looks as though there might be some hope for the Ford Motor Company’s plant in Hazelwood. Early last year, Ford announced plans to shut down the facility near St. Louis in an effort to cut costs. Now, there’s word the tentative agreement reached between Ford and the United Auto Workers’ union might keep those Ford Explorers rolling off the assembly line. Officially, both sides in the contract talks are keeping quiet until workers have had a chance to ratify or reject the tentative deal. Results could be known Friday.
