The Chairman of a state joint legislative committee dealing with terrorism issues says more money needs to be spent on security issues – just none of it from state coffers. Senator John Griesheimer of Washington says we don’t have unlimited funds to deal with unlimited homeland security possibilities. In fact, Griesheimer says the Legislature should not be expected to come up with any money for homeland security. The State Emergency Management Agency says all of the nearly $40-Million that is given to the Department this year to give to state and local agencies comes from Washington, DC.
