Pettis County Officials Test For Flu After Schoolchildren Hit By Illness

Health officials in Pettis County, in central Missouri, are testing blood samples taken from several sick students who have missed classes due to illness. The Green Ridge School District canceled classes Thursday afternoon and all day Friday after more than one hundred students reported flu-like symptoms. The samples are being tested for influenza. Classes are scheduled to resume on Monday.
