Chiefs Cook Cards

December 2, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

Priest Holmes had 113 yards rushing and two touchdowns and Dante Hall returned a punt 90 yards for a touchdown as the Chiefs topped the Cardinals 49-0. Hall’s special-teams TD set a Chiefs record and gave Kansas City a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. The offense didn’t stop there. Holmes, Tony Richardson and Tony Gonzalez all found their way to the end zone in the second quarter, to take a 35-0 halftime lead. Playing only three quarters, Trent Green was 14-20 passing with 257 yards and two touchdowns. The Chiefs defense frustrated the Cardinals passing attack with four interceptions. Ray Crocket had two of them, while Mike Maslowski and Eddie Freeman accounted for the other two. The Chiefs are now 6-6 on the season.
