Allegations Of Mishandling Medical Waste Land Company In Hot Water

November 19, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

An Arkansas-based company that handles medical waste is the target of the Natural Resources Department, which accuses it of violating environmental rules. A company representative has been arrested after DNR investigators learned some medical waste had been shipped after the company’s license to transport had expired, and had been stored in an unoccupied house in Columbia. DNR is not saying how much it wants to fine Medical Waste Management, but officials have said the proposed fine is substantial.
