The Blues long winning streak came to an abrupt win with a 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets last night. St. Louis took the lead in the first with Eric Boguniecki’s seventh goal of the season. But Columbus tied it up before the period was over. In the second period, The Jackets scored twice to take a 3-1 lead. Boguniecki struck again to make it 3-2 in the third period, but the lead was short lived. 43 seconds later, Ray Whitney made it 4-2 with a goal. Fred Brathwaite allowed four goals off 30 shots in the loss, ending the Blues run at nine games. St. Louis struggled on the power play going 0-5, while Columbus was 2-6 on the man-advantage. The Blues are at home Saturday against the Maple Leafs.
