A meeting next Tuesday in St. Joseph could result in a new trial date for Zacheriah Tripp, the Buchanan County teenager charged with kidnapping, raping and murdering a classmate. Tripp’s first murder trial ended with a hung jury Wednesday. The jury foreman says the jurors voted 10-2 for conviction and could not get the other two jurors to swtich. The first open court date in Buchanan County is in February, although a change of venue to a county with an earlier open date could be requested.
