Tripp Trial Ends In Hung Jury

October 3, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

A hung jury has ended the St. Joseph trial of Zacheriah Tripp, the teenager accused of kidnapping, raping, and murdering a 15-year-old classmate from Easton. The trial lasted 13 days. The foreman of the jury says the jury hung up 10-2 for conviction after 17 hours of deliberations. A new trial will be held, but it’s likely to be six months or more before it starts. Tripp is being held in the Buchanan County jail.
