It took double overtime, but Southeast Missouri State topped Arkansas-Monticello 42-41 in double overtime. Corey Kinsey rushed for 180 yards on 21 carries for the Indians. Keiki Misipeka’s 25-yard run in overtime proved to be the game winner for SEMO, who went 4-7 in 2001. Southeast scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to come win the season opener.
