A new license plate aims to raise awareness about the problem of breast cancer and raise money to combat the disease. The Missouri Women’s Council Breast Cancer Awareness pink license plate will raise money to help provide poor women with health insurance. Council Executive Director Cheryl Grazier points out awareness is the key, because 70-percent of breast cancer cases are found through self-examinations. Grazier says breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women between the ages of 40 and 55.
