Rams Lose Game, Two Players

August 23, 2002 By admin Leave a Comment

The Rams are still winless after three pre-season games, falling to the Chargers 31-10 on Thursday night at the Dome. The Rams trailed 3-0 at the half. San Diego scored three touchdowns in the 3rd quarter. But head coach Mike Martz was more disappointed with running backs Trung Candidate and Lamar Gordon who rushed for a combined 40 yards off 18 carries. The game was frustrating for another reason. Fullback James Hodgins and defensive end Jonathon Brown were hurt. Hodgins broke a foot and will be out six weeks. Brown strained a calf and should miss two or three weeks. The Rams face the Chiefs in their final pre-season game next week.
