Royals Rip Twins

Kansas City went on a scoring binge last night with 16-3 rout of Minnesota. The Royals had a modest 7-3 lead in the eighth inning, when they exploded for nine runs. Carlos Beltran led the way offensively, with four RBI’s and his first home run of the season. On the mound, Paul Byrd got his third win of the year, he’s 3-0. Byrd has yet to walk a batter in 19 1/3 innings this season. The Royals came into the game losers of three straight. It was the Twins first loss at home. KC tries to make it two in a row this afternoon. 12:05 first pitch from the Metro Dome.
