Bears Fall In Carbondale To Southern Illinois

Despite 18 points from Robert Yanders and 17 from Terrance McGee, the Southwest Missouri State Bears could not overcome good shooting and rebounding by Southern Illinois, as a result they lose 84-74. SIU hit 53% of their shots from the floor and they outrebounded SMS 41-32. The Bears fall to 7-8 on the season, 2-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Meanwhile, Southern Illinois is now a very impressive 13-2 on the season and 3-0 in the MVC.
