The path has been cleared for St. Louis-based Trans World Airlines to be sold to the parent company of American Airlines for $742-million. A federal judge in Wilmington, Delaware, has denied a request by the bankrupt airline’s creditors to delay Monday’s planned sale of TWA. There is one possible roadblock. The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia is expected to consider an appeal of the judge’s ruling this weekend.
