Holden working on TWA situation

January 10, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Holden is trying get a phone call through to the head of American Airlines to find out if the stories going around about American’s plans to take over TWA are true. He hopes to have the call today. Holden says the reports that TWA is about to go bankrupt and be taken over by American underline the importance of continuing a controversial expansion of Lambert-St. Louis airport. He sees the expansion as necessary, no matter what happens. Lambert is TWA’s domestic hub. TWA has its headquarters in St. Louis and has more than 20,000 employees there, and in Kansas City.
