MO attracting campaigns like flies

Expect more visits to Missouri by the national political party tickets. Missouri Democratic Party Executive Director Roy Temple predicts both the Gore/Lieberman and Bush/Cheney tickets will visit the state often in the waning weeks of this campaign. While he admits he loves to see the attention Missouri is getting, Temple realizes the work involved, and the attention diverted from local races. Temple says the pay off for the state party is that national visits excite the party base and challenge them to do the little things that are needed to win political races. Both Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W. Bush will be in St. Louis next week for the presidential debate at Washington University on Tuesday.
