Missouri played much better than it did at Clemson, but came up short against 20th-ranked Michigan State, 13-10. Missouri coach Larry Smith chose to punt the ball away with 2:37 left and the Tigers facing 4th and 2 in their own territory. The Tigers did not get the ball back, as the Spartans ran out the clock. Mizzou has a week off before traveling to play top-ranked Nebraska.
