Prosecutors began building their case today against a Columbia daycare provider accused of shaking a 10-week old infant. They are trying to prove Rose Marie Gunn shook an infant in her care in June of 1999. Gunn owned the former Rug Rats Daycare, although it was closed down after arrest. Gunn was also investigated in December 1998 after a 4-month-old child suffered a skull fracture at the daycare. Gunn and her husband refused to take lie detector tests and police had to drop the case. She’s charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the present abuse case.
