Several hundred people were on hand at a public meeting this week in Branson. The meeting was called by the committee handling the planning for a proposed convention center. There’s some talk of having the center located away from Highway 76 — which is where most of the tourist activity is located — and business owner Steve Wood made it clear that concerns him. Wood also says it’s important for the committee to a better job of keeping business leaders informed of any new developments in the planning for the convention center.
