Missouri will be sending a $438,000 dollar check as its contribution to the building of a World War II Memorial in Washington. Organizers of the memorial suggested that each state contribute a dollar for each of its World War II veterans. A representative says $92 million of the $100 million cost has been raised, with the rest expected to come in shortly.
