Former Kansas City Chief Bam Morris is getting a 5 week reprieve from his federal drug trial. Court records show one of Morris’ two co-defendants is trying to cut a deal and a federal magistrate is expected to move his trial from next week to next August. Also, Morris is expected to claim his medical condition should keep him from going on trial. The trio are accused of trafficking in more than 100 pounds of marijuana.
