Vina May Return Against Marlins

May 23, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Fernando Vina hopes to be back in the lineup for the Cardinals tonight when they host the Florida Marlins. Vina missed Sunday’s game after fouling a pitch off his toe Saturday. X-rays show no broken bones. The Cardinals play 12 of their next 16 games at home, starting with a three game series against Florida. The Marlins have slumped after a hot start, and have fallen below .500 with a four game losing streak. The aces of each staff will hook up tonight, as 6-2 Darryl Kile pitches for the Cards against 5-2 Ryan Dempster.
