Southeast Missouri State came up just short in its quest for an Ohio Valley regular season baseball title. The Indians finished one-half game behind Eastern Kentucky. SEMO swept EKU in a Saturday doubleheader to set up Sunday’s winner-take-all game. Eastern Kentucky won that deciding contest, 11-4. EKU finishes 18-6, and the Indians wind up 17-6. SEMO does get to host the conference tournament, because Eastern Kentucky has no lights at its field. The OVC tournament starts Thursday in Cape Girardeau.
