Another blown lead, no problem, another win for the Royals at home. The Royals welcomed new owner David Glass with a pre-game ceremony, then went out and finished off a sweep of the first place White Sox, 12-8. Ricky Bottalico lost the lead, again, in the top of the 8th inning, but in the bottom half, the Royals used a couple of walks and a Mike Sweeney single to regain the lead. After a walk to red-hot Jermain Dye to load the bases, Carlos Beltran came off the bench to make his only appearance of the series, and ripped a three-run double. The Royals are just two games behind the White Sox in the Central, and they are 14-4 at home. Now they embark on their longest road trip of the season, a 13-game journey, starting tonight in Detroit. The Royals were 0-9 on their last road trip.
