Price candy company gone

The Price Candy Company of Richmond is out of business. A Kansas City bank has foreclosed on the company’s factory. Price candy once turned out more than two-and-a-half million pounds of chocolate candy a year, selling it under its own name, and also marketing it under the House of Bauer, and Blum’s of San Francisco names. The company was founded 87 years ago. The Price family sold it in 1982, and since then it has gone through three changes of ownership.
