Statue to Honor Explorers

April 24, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

A statue of Lewis and Clark will be unveiled this week in Kansas City. It’ll be in Case Park, which is not far from the area the explorers travelled on their trip west in 1804. The statue shows the explorers, plus Sacajawea, the interpreter they picked up further upstream, the slave York, and Lewis’ dog.
