Senate approves casino limits

April 11, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The state Senate votes to limit the number of casinos in each city or county… The Senate, working on a bill revising some state gambling laws, adopts Senator Lacey Clay’s amendment that could block licensing of still another casino in St. Louis County. The gaming commission is considering a couple of proposals. The county already has two casinos. He says the commission should give priorities in licensing to cities and counties along our major rivers…that do not already have casinos. The bill to which Clay has added his amendment is still under debate in the Senate.
