Former Miller County Sheriff Tom Russell is appealing his ouster for corruption. Russell was removed from office last month by a judge who says he knew about corruption in the jail and in his own department. He has never been charged with any crime although five former jailers, a trustee and a former deputy sheriff have been charged.
