Governor Honors Branson Group for Raising WW II Memorial Funds

Governor Carnahan issues a formal proclamation honoring the Branson Veterans Task Force for its fundraising effort on behalf of the National World War II Memorial. And the governor makes a pitch for an item in his budget now being debated in the House. Carnahan urges lawmakers to approve the $438-Thousand he has proposed as Missouri’s contribution to paying for the memorial. The memorial to be located on the National Mall in Washington is estimated to cost $100-Thousand.
