Alberto Callaspo hit two home runs and drove in a career high six runs as the Royals salvaged one game this weekend in Minnesota winning 10-5 on Sunday afternoon.

Scott Podsednik had three hits and drove in two runs to raise his batting average to .457. The Royals lead the American League with a team .309 average.

The Royals scored six in the third inning, but the game wasn’t put out of reach until the ninth inning when Callaspo broke the game open with a three run, two out homer in the ninth. Luke Hochevar went six innings allowing three runs, two of those earned while giving up six hits, but he also walked five which has been an issue for Hochevar.
