St. Louis Swarm coach Bernie Bickerstaff is the International Basketball League’s coach of the year, after leading the Swarm to the league’s best record. The Swarm ran up a 47-17 regular season record, and are waiting for the second round of the IBL playoffs after earning a first round bye. Bickerstaff was the NBA’s coach of the year for Seattle in 1987. He is head coach, general manager, and part owner of the Swarm.
