Governor Bob Holden has nominated Richard Dunn of Springfield to be the next Director of the State Health Department. Dunn is past director of the Division of Aging and has served as a deputy department director for the Health Department. He’s past chairman of the Children’s Trust Fund and past Executive Director of Boys and Girls Town. He was most recently appointed by Holden to the two-member team investigating the Division of Family Services in the Department of Social Services. Dunn replaces Maureen Dempsey, who resigned last year.
