Anheuser-Busch is facing potential labor unrest as the new year approaches.
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has announced that 99% of its workers nationwide voted to authorize a strike if a new labor contract isn’t agreed to by February 29th, the date the current contract expires. The union is seeking higher wages and increases in health and retirement benefits.
In a statement released to multiple media outlets, Anheuser-Busch said it’s “committed to negotiating in good faith with the union to reach an agreement that recognizes and rewards the talent, commitment, and drive of our employees.”
